Public engagement in STEM - How to create events and facilitate the dialogue with various audiences

Outreach programmes, science festivals and open days involve more and more a wide range of activities in which researchers meet various kinds of audiences in face-to-face interactions. Children, teens, adults and senior people are involved in workshops, demonstrations, science shows, games, discussion games and several other creative formats for the public engagement in STEM. Similarly, museums and science centres offer a wide range of activities to engage with their audiences. This course explores basic principles of informal learning activities and presents a variety of formats and key tools to build up a constructive and joyful dialogue to bridge science and society.
