Francesca de Ruvo holds a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Padua and now works as a press officer for SISSA in Trieste, where she also obtained the Master’s in Science Communication “Franco Prattico”. Since 2020 she has been working as a science journalist for Mondadori Scienza, covering health and medicine. She is also one of the authors of "Pharmakon", a podcast about the thalidomide scandal.
